November 29th through December 1st, team members from Sageinsights attended Ag Retailers Association 2016 Conference in Orlando, FL.  ARA is “an association that advocated, influences, educates and provides services to support its member in their quest to maintain a profitable business environment.”  A Retailer is a group that supply farmers and ranchers with the products and services that they use.

Tuesday morning, started off with the ARA Invitational Golf Tournament. This event allowed everyone in the industry to help fundraise for ARA’s PAC along with enjoy camaraderie with people across the industry. I was able to spend time with three other members that were there to display at the Trade Show along with participating in ARA workshops. I could not complain as I got to learn more about chemicals and how this group of individuals support the efforts of Ag Retailers to help growers. The golf god’s were kind to us as we went on to shot four under par, but the best part was being able to learn more from each other on how we contribute to agriculture. We all have a passion to helping agriculture be successful and to see how each of use contribute in different ways was eye opening.

On Tuesday evening, we had the opportunity to attend a new member reception giving us a chance to mingle with other new members.  Wednesday and Thursday we sat in on various informational sessions ranging from a political debrief of the election, the economic view of agriculture next year, an update from the Florida FFA chapter and how to keep sell more professional services.   Through out the week they also had a small trade show open with vendors.

It was a great week to network with Retailers, other businesses, our own coworkers, and to enjoy the warm sunshine.
